Innovative R & D in the Canadian Oil & Gas Industry!
Recently GE CEO Jeff Immelt gave a talk to the Calgary oil patch where he challenged the local energy industry to invest in and focus more on R&D and innovation. Recent meetings at PTAC and elsewhere have also identified the problem but it’s not just industry that has problems. The problems of the Canadian energy innovation system are systemic and broad and cover not only the industrial sector but also the academic and government R&D operations which are focused more on resource industry staff training than innovative R&D.

Gushor Inc. Participates in the 2011 Canadian Heavy Oil Associations Annual Funspiel
Gushor’s team “The Rockbreakers” put on a valiant effort and managed to go undefeated in the three games we played (thanks to some much needed bonus points).
The Reservoir Warriors were from left to right; Shaun Rhyno (Sunshine Oilsands), Jonelle Dayle (Husky Energy), Magda Ciulavu (Husky Energy), and Richard Stephens (Gushor Inc.).
